Where is the conference Venue?
The 2018 NBMLHD will be held at Panthers World of Entertainment, 123 Mulgoa Road, Penrith, NSW 2750.
If you are entering via the Front Entrance, please approach the reception desk on your right-hand side. Behind reception is an escalator and lift that will take you to Level 3 where the conference is held.
If you are entering via the Lake View Entrance, please proceed through to the Club’s Main reception desk. Behind the reception desk is an escalator and lift that will take you to Level 3 where the conference is held.
Is there parking available?
With over 2000 car spots on site, Penrith Panthers offers free of charge parking spaces.
How do I get to and from the airport to the conference venue/ accommodation?
From Sydney Airport, make your way to the Central Station in the City Centre (about 8 mins, or 13 kms) by car or public transport.
From Central Station you will be able to catch a train to Penrith on the T1 Western Line or Blue Mountains Line. This train ride will take about 50 mins and the trains run every hour.
The most popular means of transport to Penrith is by car. Penrith (just 55 km west of Sydney’s CBD) is less than 50 minutes’ drive from Mascot International Airport. From the city, follow the signs to Parramatta. The M4 Motorway starts at Strathfield and takes you directly to the Penrith Valley. You may either exit the M4 motorway at St. Marys, Penrith (2 exits) or Emu Plains. The M4 Motorway is toll free.
If you are travelling from the outer west, follow the signs to Lithgow, and drive across the Blue Mountains along the Great Western Highway. Penrith is around 75 minutes’ drive towards Sydney from the entrance to the Blue Mountains at Mount Victoria.
For those traveling in from the North or South of Sydney, the M7 motorway intersects with the M4 at Eastern Creek. The M7 is toll is charged by distance travelled.
Is there security at the conference?
The members of the conference organising committee and Leishman Associates accept no liability for personal accident of loss or damage suffered by any participant, accompanying person, invited observer or any other person by whatever means. Nor do we accept liability for any equipment or software brought to the conference by delegates, speakers, sponsors or any other party. Please protect your personal property. Do not leave laptops, cameras, and other valuable items unsecured. Be conscious of individuals who appear out of place and do not wear a conference name badge. Advise Leishman Associates staff if this does not occur.
Will there be internet/Wi-Fi available at the conference venue?
Delegates have access to complimentary WIFI for the duration of the conference.

What is included in my registration?
Full Registration – This registration includes attendance at all sessions over 3 days November 7 – 9 November 2018. Full registration also includes; one set of Conference proceedings, satchel, name badge, lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments and entry to the Conference Dinner. You may purchase additional tickets to the dinner.
Two Day Registration – This registration includes attendance at sessions on the nominated days of attendance, one set of Conference proceedings, satchel, name badge, lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments on the day of attendance. Two day registration does not include entry to the dinner. Tickets to attend the dinner will need to be purchased separately.
Day Registration – This registration includes attendance at sessions on the nominated day of attendance, one set of Conference proceedings, satchel, name badge, lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments on the day of attendance. How do I gain entry to the conference sessions?
It is suggested that delegates arrive at preferred sessions promptly to ensure a seat. If sessions become full then delegates will not be allowed entry. Please wear your name tag for entry into all sessions.
How do I know if there have been any changes to the program?
Any changes to the conference program will be announced during housekeeping notices each morning during the first plenary session. You may also check with Leishman Associates staff at the registration desk.
How do I know If I am registered for the Gala Dinner?
Please check your latest Registration Confirmation email, this will list all bookings. If you have misplaced this, you can request a new copy by emailing Jodi Stevens
When and where is the Gala Dinner?
Conference Dinner, Thursday 9 November 7.00pm
The Conference Dinner will be held in the Fernhill Room at the Penrith Panthers World of Entertainment.
Theme is Black and White. Come dressed in your finest formal.
How do I gain entry to the Gala Dinner?
All delegates, exhibitors and accompanying partners will be provided with a name badge, which will give you access to all events that are included in your registration or that you have purchased. Please ensure you bring along your name badge.
Can I bring my partner along?
Yes, you may, at an additional cost. Additional guest tickets can be booked when you register online, or through the Leishman Associates office. Bookings can be made at the conference but will be subject to availability.
I have special dietary requirements – what do I do?
You must advise the conference managers of any special dietary requirements when you register for the conference. Caterers at each function will be informed of these. During the day, there will be a buffet table offering food suitable for dietary requirements. If you are unsure, please don’t hesitate to ask staff at the registration desk.
IMPORTANT – If your dietary request relates to a life-threatening allergy, please ensure that you advise the organisers as soon as possible.
How do I book my accommodation?
You can book your accommodation through the online registration form or by emailing Jodi Stevens. You will be asked to provide your check-in and check-out date as well as your credit card details to secure the booking. Payment for your accommodation will not be taken until you check out of the Hotel. Delegates are encouraged to book in advance as availability closer to the Conference date is not guaranteed.
How do I pay for my accommodation?
If you have booked your accommodation when you registered, your credit card details have been transferred to the hotel you have selected – please confirm this when you check in at your hotel.
The hotel will request payment on check in. If you have arrived 24 hours later than your indicated arrival day you may find that you have forfeited your deposit.
If you will not be paying with your own credit card and need to arrange payment before you arrive in Penrith, the best way is via a credit card authorisation form enabling the hotel to process a third-party card. To do so, please contact the hotel you selected and they will organise with you to receive a form for you to fill out and fax, email, or bring on arrival.
I would like to change or cancel my accommodation booking?
Please contact Leishman Associates to cancel your accommodation prior to the Conference. If you need to cancel your accommodation booking within 30 days of your arrival date any cancellation fees will be subject to the hotel cancellation policy. Therefore, no accommodation refund can be guaranteed within 30 business days of the Conference. If you alter your accommodation booking after you have checked in, please deal directly with the hotel. If you arrive 24 hours later than your indicated arrival day you may find that the Hotel will charge you for the missed night.
Can I photograph or record the conference sessions?
Delegates are not permitted to use any type of camera or recording device at any of the sessions unless written permission has been obtained from the relevant speaker & Conference Managers. By registering for this conference, you consent to having your photo taken and used for promotional purposes. This may include Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Conference Website & Email Marketing. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please advise the Registration Desk or let the photographer know.
Will copies of the presentations be available after the conference?
Presentations will be available on the conference website following the conference. Speakers will be requested to sign a release form. This is not compulsory, and only presentations with approval will be published.
I am presenting a poster, what should I do?
Posters will be displayed in the Foyer for the duration of the conference. There will be a dedicated poster session daily during the scheduled lunch breaks.
Presenters need to bring their printed poster in A0 size to the registration desk where they will be directed to their allocated poster board. Authors should be available on either one of the days at lunchtime to discuss the poster with delegates. Presenters need to adhere the poster to the poster board by morning tea time on Wednesday 7 November and retrieve their poster after the last session on Friday 9 November. Uncollected posters will be disposed of.
Please use strong double-sided tape on both sides of the Velcro to display the poster.
I am a speaker, what should I do?
Please bring your PowerPoint presentation with you when you register. All presentations need to be 16:9 in ratio.
All speakers should present themselves to the Speakers Preparation Room, located in the John Farragher Boardroom, at least three hours prior to their scheduled presentation time, to upload their presentation.
Speakers are also requested to assemble in their session room 5 minutes before the commencement of the session if possible, to meet with their session chair and to familiarise themselves with the room and the audio-visual equipment. A technician will be present in the room at all times. There will be facilities to test and modify your presentation if required.
During the break prior to your session, it is highly recommended that speakers go to their room and introduce themselves to the chairperson of their session. Each chairperson will be in their room at least 5 minutes prior to the start of the session.
You can also check that your presentation is working correctly with the AV technician in the room.
I am a chairperson, what should I do?
If you are a chairperson, you will receive chairpersons’ guidelines when you register at the registration desk. If you have additional questions, please contact Leishman Associates.
I need to cancel my registration, what do I do?
Cancellations must be received in writing – mail, or email – to Leishman Associates. Cancellations will not be deemed to be received until you have a written confirmation from Leishman Associates. If you have not received an acknowledgement email within two business days, please contact Leishman Associates on (03) 6234 7844. Cancellations postmarked on or before 30 days from the Conference will incur a fee of 50% of the registration amount. No refunds will be made for cancellations for the Conference postmarked within 30 days from the Conference, however substitutions may be accepted.
NBMLHD reserve the right to amend or alter any advertised details relating to dates, program and speakers if necessary, without notice, as a result of circumstances beyond their control. All attempts have been made to keep any changes to an absolute minimum.
